The Bell Restaurant - detail

The Bell is justifiably acclaimed  for it's wholesome, home cooked food. Chef, Philip Bailey uses fresh locally sourced ingredients to prepare a range of dishes that appeal to a wide range of tastes. From simple favorites such as ham, eggs and French Fries to a traditional Normandy fish stew you can be assured that the ingredients are fresh, cooked to perfection and will be mouthwateringly delicious.

Sunday lunch at The Bell comprises a selection of Roasts - with all the trimmings, that attracts regular customers from both the local community and farther afield. Many walkers like to make The Bell the start and end point for their Sunday ramble so that they can work up an appetite for the most traditional of British, Sunday meals.

The Bell Restaurant - detail 2The now famous themed menus celebrating notable events throughout the year are lovingly prepared by Phil to reflect the ambiance of special occasions. Over the year there are special menus for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas, Burns Night as well as celebrations of The Aylesbury Duck (sourced from Richard Waller of Chartridge Lane, the UK's last Aylesbury duck farmer). As one would expect from a pub with a French landlady, the annual celebration of new Beaujolais and Bastille Day are cause for further celebrations.
